A New Home, a New Beginning: SERV Connect Opens Sixth Residence In New Jersey

A New Chapter for Youth in Ocean County

On Tuesday, June 2, 2026, members of the SERV community gathered to celebrate the grand opening of SERV Connect's sixth group home in Manchester Township, Ocean County. With the opening of this residence, SERV Connect now operates six specialized homes serving youth across New Jersey. This state-of-the-art residence will provide Level 1 residential services to five youth with developmental disabilities and behavioral challenges, offering a safe, supportive environment where they can thrive and build skills for greater independence.

Chief Operating Officer Pauline Simms remarked, "We are profoundly grateful to the New Jersey Department of Children and Families for funding this project, which will have a lifelong impact on the youth we serve. Our thanks also go to SERV Properties and Management for developing a beautiful home, and to the SERV Connect team for their dedication. This was a group effort, and I am thrilled we are all here to celebrate this achievement together."

About SERV Connect

SERV Connect, Inc. was established in 2019 through a partnership between the New Jersey Department of Children and Families and SERV Achievement Centers, Inc. Dedicated to compassionate, person-centered care, SERV Connect supports youth with developmental disabilities, autism, and behavioral health needs. The program provides crisis assessment and stabilization in a community-based residential setting, helping youth return home whenever possible. For those unable to reunite with their families, SERV Connect offers ongoing residential care and comprehensive support for medical, emotional, educational, and vocational needs.

The development of this home was made possible through a grant from the New Jersey Department of Children and Families and through the collaboration, dedication, and expertise of SERV Connect, SERV Properties and Management, and numerous staff members whose efforts helped bring this important project to fruition.
